Powell Nominated as Man of the Year

CKC Founder, Chuck Powell, has been nominated as the 2012 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Man of the Year. This title, although an honor, is far less important than the opportunity it grants us to raise money for a organization that is developing new cures for blood cancers.“I got involved because I wanted to fundraise in honor of the Boy and Girl of the year. Miss Arden and Mr. P.J. are amazing, local children who are blood cancer survivors,” said Powell.

“As my wife Kristal and I know from our dedication to custom home building – the difference is in the details. Of course we want to raise the most money to be able to do the most good. However, we know that LLS is about the details. They ensure that every dollar raised goes to our neighbors struggling with Leukemia and Lymphoma as well as to national research that is finding a cure to this cancer.”

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is already making progress! Since 1949 the survival rate for many blood cancer patients has doubled or tripled and in some cases quadrupled. We really can beat cancer! DONATE HERE
