San Antonio Realtor Spotlight: JJ Panah

I recently had the privilege to sit down with JJ Panah, a local realtor who we have enjoyed working with a great deal, to discuss her perspective and experience in real estate. She serves all of Greater San Antonio, including Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, Helotes, Cordillera Ranch, Comfort, Alamo Ranch, Leon Springs, Anaqua Springs Ranch, Spring Branch, Bulverde, Canyon Lake, Garden Ridge, Schertz, New Braunfels and more.

With clients ranging from family and friends to business owners, Panah’s experience in the field is undeniably expansive. She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word. Her knowledge of the local real estate market coupled with more than 12 years of retail  experience makes her an invaluable resource to her clients.

Can you tell me a bit about your experience in real estate?

I started in June of 2016. While relocating more than four times in the Los Angeles area, I understand how hectic, tedious, important yet exciting choosing the right home can be. I look forward to being your agent when it’s your time to make your move whether selling, renting or buying.

What’s the price range of most of the homes and lots that you have sold?

Recalling statistics from SABOR, average price point of a home in San Antonio during 2017 was $250K,  and most of my transactions fall into this range. I also work with clients at a luxury price point, commercial and farm/ranch properties in a much higher price range.

What is the most important thing that you communicate to your clients when building or buying a new home?

One of the more important aspects of the client-realtor relationship is communication. My goal is to find their perfect home but the client is always the number one priority.

How many clients are you currently representing?

I’m represent 10-12 clients currently. During my first year, I worked with a range of transactions from first time home buyers, military families, relocation, estate sales, divorce, farm & ranch and even residential lots. I hope to average 3-5 closings a month by the end of 2018.

What are some of the most frequently asked questions that you have encountered?

Where’s the garage? – I was surprised at how important this was to people, for me it’s the bathroom and kitchen.
How long has it been on the market?
Why hasn’t it sold?
This is it? – when the pictures often outdo the actual home
What do we call you? – hence, my first name is Mojgan but I go by JJ as a nickname

What distinguishes you from other real estate agents?

I really feel my personality sets me apart from the the thousands of agents in San Antonio. It is my best asset. In fact, I just won the award for Most Bubbliest Agent at JB Goodwin. I get along with everyone I meet, so that makes the whole transaction easier for everyone. I am always networking, reading and doing research on the real estate market to keep up to date on market knowledge. I’ve even started my own blog, so I can share my knowledge with others.
