CKC Custom Homes recently completed a major remodel of our 4,800-square-foot ranch house in Kendall County, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The scope was extensive—structural changes, a full interior renovation, new HVAC and plumbing, a standing seam metal roof, audio/visual systems, and the addition of a beautiful outdoor kitchen and cabana by the pool. Chuck was deeply involved in the planning process, turning our ideas into detailed drawings that helped us visualize the end result. Kristal was incredibly helpful with selections and had a great eye for translating our style into reality. The transparency of their bidding process and their ability to work within our budget was refreshing. The project took about six months, and while we’ve built several homes before, this was by far the most complex—and the most impressive—project we've ever done. Very pleased with CKC. They built a great house. My wife and I had our ideas for what we wanted the house to be, CKC filled in some blanks where we trusted their expertise versus assuming we knew things we didn’t know. It worked out great as a dual collaboration. It is a process that has bumps and delays but we started the process during Covid and the supply chain fiasco. Whether you are bottom or top down, Chuck will work with you to end up with what you want in the design process. This was our first experience in building, I might change a few things if I did it again with what I know now, but I wouldn’t do it without CKC.

We have now been in our CKC built home for 3 years and continue to get great comments from our neighbors on how much they like the exterior of our home, and the very roomy feel of the interior. We asked for “wow’ factor and got it for both the outside and the inside. Every room in the house has a custom ceiling treatment including high ceilings in the kid’s bedrooms. The floorplan is roomy, but also very efficient. Minimal wasted space. Chuck is very good at pointing out items that bring value in both use in future resale. Example is our wider garage doors, and the brick and mortar fireplaces. 3 years into the home and we have only had service calls once on the air conditioner, and once on the garage. Both were fully covered by warranty.

I contracted CKC Custom Homes to construct my custom home in Comfort, Texas in 2008. I was very impressed with the process Chuck utilizes to let you know exactly where you are during construction.
