ABOUT THIS POSITION
This is a flexible, paid internship in the Design Center of Powell & Co. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who need experience in a high-end design center. This internship allows you to create your own schedule
that fits you best. You are expected to be responsible and timely. You will be eligible to receive school credit.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the library cleanliness and organization.
Running errands for the design library.
If you have any AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Suite experience you may help designers with projects based on need.
Providing administrative support such as answering phones, sending an email, or getting the mail.
Communication with Design Center to determine tasks for the day.
Observation of various components of the design process.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Either entering their final year of an interior design program or recently completing a program related.
Basic computer skills (outlook, excel, etc.)
Any AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and the Microsoft Suite experience.
Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and willingness to complete a variety of tasks.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be a friendly and courteous professional with polished telephone skills who can effectively communicate and maintain office coordination between their department and the rest of the office. Person should be detail oriented, have great time management abilities, and be able to work unsupervised with excellent multi-tasking abilities. We are looking for someone who is self motivated with moderate knowledge of the MAC computer system.
JOB TASK :
Arrange meetings with contractors.
Create and maintain office documents such as but not limited to: invoices, reports & data sheets created and maintained by Office Manager.
Overall office keep:
maintain the inflow and outflow of goods (food, paper, pens, pencils, notepads etc.)
arrange for repair and maintenance of office equipment;
evaluating new equipment and techniques
receive, store and maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment send, receive and sort mail and other packages.
Interact comfortably with clients and vendors.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects on the company’s dealing and working.
Manage Office Processes, Maintain or implement organizational processes and analyze incoming & outgoing information
Complete tasks such as the typing out of letters, document creation and data entry in both Mac Pages and Number, software.
Maintain a calendar and coordinate events and meetings for the various departments.
Provide information by answering questions and requests.
Support the staff when assigned.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
Maintain active Notary License. Initial cost and maintenance expenses of license will be covered by company during employment
Coordinate with project managers on supplies needed for construction sites.
Order all supplies needed for each site.
Interview and hire all vendors and contractors.
Become the line of contact between the company and all vendors and contractors.
Work with the project managers to assist in processing the payroll of each of our vendors and contractors.
Contact vendors to gather quotes for each project site throughout construction.

We are looking for an artful Interior designer Intern to undertake a variety of space designing projects. You will deal with design from conceptual development and liaising with the stakeholders to managing and executing the design. The goal is to design practical spaces but yet visually pleasing.
Responsibilities
Undertake design project from concept to completion

The Superintendent position will manage and control assigned projects, including overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality work, and trade contractor and supplier coordination and work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team.
A. CLIENT LOYALTY
Understand and communicate to all field personnel the owners goals regarding construction.
Maintains positive relationships with the owner and architect throughout the project(s).
B. PRE-CONSTRUCTION
Provide technical expertise throughout the Pre-Construction process.
Participate in the Constructability review.
Assist in the management of the Pre-Construction schedule.
C. SAFETY
Insure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and trade contractors, working with the safety support personnel as a resource. Continually strives for Zero Injury on all projects.
Lead on-site safety meetings.
Watch for and correct all safety hazards at the job site. Report all safety incidents to safety personnel.
D. PLANNING
Review the plans and specifications for constructability and construction schedules and advise the project team of issues or deficiencies.
Understand the contract between and the owner.
Understand trade contractor and supplier contract scopes.
Prepare, manage and update the detailed project schedule with sequence and activity duration including procurement items.
Establish the punch list process and close-out procedures with the Project Manager, Owner and Architect before trade contractor work starts. Maintain a Zero Punch list.
Schedules and procures tools and equipment necessary for the project.
Mentor and train other employees as necessary.
